Wanna drink? Friday, September 26, 2008 at 8:44am on FB
My "drink" of choice is water. I always thought that when someone asks you for a "drink", they meant something alcoholic. When I moved to the South, (a generation ago) I had to throw that thought out. Everyone says "drink" for everything. They even say "coke," instead of the preferred "pop" for all carbonated drinks. And what's with sweet tea? You can't get a decent iced tea around here without sugar in it! People go googoo over sweet tea. Even Jim is on the southern band wagon with sweet tea (& he used to be a Yankee!--course that was before I met him.) I like lemonade, if it's made from fresh lemons. I'll even drink grape pop once in awhile (but it makes me burp.) I prefer water.
Jesus answered, "If you knew the generosity of God and who I am, you would be asking me for a drink, and I would give you fresh, living water." John 4:10 (MSG)
Are you thirsty?

I love this! You are right about "around here" - for the most part sweet tea is almost a religious experience. :)

Thanks. This is one of my short notes. Short & sweet--if you like sweet tea.
